Training

WMEN are running two workshops in March and April which are free and open to third sector not for profit organisations based in the West Midlands. The first course is General EU Record Keeping on Wednesday 5 May 2010 from 10am - 1pm. This workshop acts as an induction into managing EU projects under the ESF and ERDF funds. As such it is invaluable for those new to EU funding, and also a useful reminder for more experienced people. We will introduce the principles of record keeping for EU funded projects and provide information and good practice examples of the records required to track the delivery of ERDF/ESF projects.

General Record Keeping is also designed to introduce the records and information required to track the financial aspects of ERDF/ESF projects. Project Managers and Finance Administrators need to be sure that all eligible costs and activity are claimed. This course will ensure that you know which records to keep and how they should be presented.

The second workshop is EU Audits on Tuesday 8 June 2010 from 10am - 12pm will help you understand who audits your project for ESF and ERDF and why. Including a walk through of all of the types of audit visits and access to the forms/recording systems used in these. You will then know what to expect of an auditor and how to properly prepare for any type of audit visit.

The courses will be running at the Conservatory at the Bond in Digbeth, Birmingham there is pay and display parking approximately five minutes walk from the venue and a limited number of disabled spaces at the venue itself - if you require one of these spaces you must specify this on the booking form. Booking is on a strictly first come first served basis, numbers ar strictly limited and only open to third sector organisations on receipt of a completed booking form. There will be no access for people turning up on the day without confirmation of their booking from the WMEN office. Should you wish to attend please complete the booking form marking clearly which of the two courses you wish to attend and either email or fax back to WMEN.
