Vision & Mission
WMEN provides a support service to third sector organisations either currently managing or considering bidding for ESF Structural Funds.
Vision
WMEN will seek to promote economic and community regeneration within a social inclusion agenda, through delivery of the European Structural Funds by the third sector, in the West Midlands region, thus playing a pivotal role in alleviating poverty wherever it exists.
Mission
To maximise the effective delivery of Structural Funds, by third sector organisations thus improving the quality of life, and the equality of opportunity, of residents of marginalised communities.
We will do this by a series of objectives, as follows:
- To improve the access, take up and delivery of Structural Funds by the third sector
- To ensure the third sector exerts influence in the Objective 2 & 3 strategic processes by gaining, or retaining, membership of appropriate bodies
- To provide an on going information source as a means to update membership and the wider third sector in the region.
Values
- Empowering local communities
- Assisting those organisations in need of our help
- Being active within partnerships, which span sectors, thus facilitating new ways of working
- Allowing our values to drive forward the organisation
- Ensuring equality of opportunity underpins our work and any form of discrimination is challenged.
